The digital photomontage images called Sablier are based in part around the poem below. The poem is manifest in the image as a block of colored squares. I designed a software program that converts letters into colored squares. Each letter of the alphabet is assigned a color. The assigned colors for each letter can be changed with the result of a different pattern of colored squares that represent a written statement such as the poem below. The titles of the photomontage images such as, Sablier 190113, refer to this poem image and the number refers to the date that the original image featured in each piece was photographed.
